The World's Columbian Exposition, also known as the Chicago World’s Fair, was organized in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s landing in America. Prussing was born on July 12, 1855 in Chicago, IL; attended Bryant and Stratton's Business College; LLB, Univ. of Michigan, 1878; admitted to IL and MI bars in 1878; practiced law in Chicago until 1918; settled in Hollywood, CA, 1921; director of Citizens' Assn. of Chicago, serving as president, 1903-4; publications include George Washington in love and otherwise (1925) and The estate of George Washington, deceased (1927); he died in 1936.
